Description
So this is my first ever "study" of the human body shall we say.
It was interesting to see how light affects how things look and the precision required to get the look you want.
Anyway, comments and especially criticisms are most welcome, tell me where i went wrong :)
Rich
Edit - and partially in response to zorg1955's comment - please view full it comes out a bit brighter and definitely a lot sharper.

IMHO just a little bit too dark but anyway ....It's a very difficult subject and I must say you've done a good creation in B&W ....

I really like this...this is just personal preference but I'd cut about a third of the black on the left out (right about where the title starts) and I'd lighten it just a tad. Love the light play and texture on the skin...I think I've clicked on full view 4 or 5 times already! LOL Excellent work. ;o)

Fantastic and very brilliant artwork!!

This great! I love the wet look. You did a wonderful job and it is both sensual and artistic. :o)b

I really like the space to the left of her body. I like leaving room for the eye to roam...even if it's empty space. Great job as always!
YARDOBE
Ya,the crop...although,as Mali states...the empty can work...otherwise,more than excellent!

This is amazing!

excellent..being dark gives it mystique

Now this is a very artistic shot. I really like the B&W, it gives much more a sensual feel and mood to the shot, it reveals so little yet says so much. The textures on her skin are superb, you can almost sense her skin tingling and to me the composition / rule of thirds works brilliantly, cropping would have made the image too square which would have taken away the dynamics of the shot. Great first study - I can't wait to see how good you become after you've been doing this for a few weeks!!! Excellent Rich - I hope you enjoyed learning something new. xx

I like it very much!!! most excellent composition I deffinitely aggree with BibbyBear!:)

I agree the image is a touch dark but them again I can see your CR logos and think had it been any brighter the highlights would've started to get blow. And you don't what that on the human skin... All in all, I think it's a very well composed shot, classy and not bordering on porn. I like the wet look and think a white background would go well with the composition too. I also think a reflector in front of the model at about knee height at about 35 deg would be a great filler to. Just adding the tiniest bit of light to increase the shine on the drops or 'water'. I totally disagree with the comments about the 'space'. The thing is the rule of thirds is perfect here and the space is just that space it's not neg - it actually draws the eye in instead of away. Cutting down on the space would make the rule of thirds null in void and then the shot would just 'be'. I also like the landscape format (which is a change for me :D)

I like the dark background as this I think creates a better mood than if it had been white. Love the textures and shadows and think this is the crop. Excellent work. Wondering what you've going to give us next :)

Just perfect!!!

Cool and sexy, very well executed with a lot of texture. I agree with peewee05 though and would like to see a similar shot with a white background, but that is because I'm partial to high-key with this type of work. most of the criticism I can offer is subjective, and therefore probably not that helpful. seems to me like you're doing very well.

Oh yes, beautiful courb on this body and very nice choice in b&w ! I would like to start others serie of nude artistic, in the same version because I don't like to put the face and more, like you, soft, elegance and glamour... Good day :)

I have looked at tomorrows upload and then this one and feel I like the first one more even though I feel both suffer from the under-exposure or lack of some little bright area to increase the range of gradation. The other thing that bothers me is the fact that the skin texture does not feel welcoming and it is rendered as being alien and especially un-feminine. It does not have the illusion of softness, that very thing we associate the female body with excellent curvature. From a design standpoint I find it perfect. Thank you for sharing. egmont
