Description
this scene was meant to be a tutorioal for the atmospheric capabilities of c4d (that's why it's so misty). 24 hours later i found myself in front of my first step into surrealism. admittedly i made it very "full", but this was a great chane, to process all thos unused quats i made the last year (or two ;-)
thanks to Terry W. Gintz for fractal zplot, especially 'cause i'm using a not paid freeware-version of 2001.
this software is visionary!
i tried to visualize the creative process of finding fractal forms, this process of trial and error. in the end you have to take your choice. and this is it!
a plane for the ocean; two spheres, one for the sky and one for the focus; a spline deformer for the arcs and about 4 Millions (!) of quaternion polygons.

Those forms are beautiful. Very bizarre and like wind eroded loopy boolean carvings. Welcome to the unconscious. :)
