Your work certainly has potential; You have a good sense of scene composition and interesting terrain generation. As Linda said, with a little work on surface layering (intensity mixing and breaking up) you'll soon be uploading real quality renders. Some post work is important with Terragen to help enliven renders; post work in Photoshop or PSP or GIMP to adjust levels, contrast, curves, and sharpening will really bring life and vivacity to your renders. Another trick to get refinement and definition in Terragen 0.9.43 renders is to make the original Terragen render big (say 4096x3072) and then downsize to the size you want to upload. Onwards and upwards.
