This is for all my friends that I've gained here in the last 7 or so years... I love ya all bunches!
To those who always leave me comments and feedback, add me to their favorites and whatnot, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I could I would reply to each one of you with a thank you :)
EDIT: I had to edit this to add something to it. For those of you who know me, you know what's about to come so please feel free to insert earplugs!
Crusing Renderosity just now I noticed a lot of really nice new talent. People who haven't rendered all that much but just need an encouraging word or five. Would it REALLY kill anyone to pick an UNKNOWN artist and leave a comment here and there? I've seen renders from rather well known people that took a V4... posed her.. slapped some hair on it and rendered her in 5 minutes tops with 20 some comments while the little guy a few spots over probably sat there for 5 hours figuring out how to bend a leg right! Even if a thumbnail doesn't sport a semi nekkid body or a gorgeous face or simply doesn't appeal to you, CLICK ON IT! You may just be surprised at what you discover! And even if you can't find it jump up and down at their art, say something nice or constructive.. really I promise... it doesn't HURT!
Now I know there are a few who make a HUGE effort to go around and leave comments on newbie art and to those.. Kuddos and I bow to you - you are what makes a COMMUNITY and here is a spare pair of ear plugs so you don't have to hear me rant!
And if someome has an issue with me ranting... don't read this ;)

Good fantasy image, love the blue tones. I'm one of those that comments on pictures that have few or no comments/views, if the image is good or I just like it. Everyone starts somewhere.

LOL WELCOME BACK MEL!!! LOL I was wondering how long it was going to be.... So dose this mean you are going to start your unknowns recognition thingy again? (sorry can't remember exactley what you used to call it). As one of the lesser knowns that is just starting out I can honestly say that you are so right, it means so much to get a comment or feedback from some of the big names (so to speak), I especialy appreciate any constructive criticism they might how to give. Best wishes Steve Ho ye right, I almost forgot........ Beautiful image Mel, I like this one even more than the last version, keep up the most exelant work.

Bravo Mel!!! Beautiful image and the rant is long past due. We all need a wake up call when it comes to new talent. I'm new enough to remember how frustrating it is to try to figure this stuff out and to remember how one little encouraging comment kept me going forward and learning. I'm STILL learning!

I spend 1 hour or more every morning before work commenting on my fav artists trying to keep up . When I am done I go to the front page and look for someone who is new and try to comment on at least one if I have the time. I agree with what you are saying . I have seen some really fantastic work by some new people here. But then I guess that is why my fav artists list is about 5 pagers long LOL. Awesome work Mel and you rant away ;)

Your art is good, but your writings are always magnificent, Im charmed with your texts and ideas, especially when you put the links of new artists, I knew some magnificent and creative persons. Its a sad and true thing, there are magnificent artists with 2 or 3 comments, when you think, but my god if its the best thing that I have seen. Have a great day.
