Description

I found a picture of a old Aikido guy and I thought it would be a cool idea for a 3D ninja master! haha what do you think!?

His skin texture and facial hair, expression are excellent...his clothes are not quite what I would picture a ninja master wearing. But that is only my opinion. I think you did very well :)

This is a stunning portrait with great lighting and detail on the hair, beard and skin. Superb work, and I have to say that I'm not troubled by his clothing... but I'm not too much into ninja and their history ;)
Keep up good work like this one!

Awsome image. He looks old but very wise. He looks just like a aged master of martial arts. Ya know I read a lot of odd things and there was a time when one Ninjitsu grand master and his students wore white karate style uniforms. I think it was around the time of WWII. So I'd say it could be right in step with that to.

Wonderful work! Great portrait, and the whole pic is nicely composed.

The two arts (Ninjitsu & Aikido) couldn't be further apart. Ninjitsu focuses on stealth and assasination techniques while in Aikido (the "Art of Peace"), your proficiency is measured by the injury you don't cause your opponent. Master Morihei Ueshiba (1883 to 1969)was truly one of the Grand Masters of the martial arts. He was still formidable into his 80's. As for the clothing, a closer model would be that of the Samurai, full-length robes that reached the ankles. So what you have chosen, appears right on the money (assuming it's full length =). Great work - portrays the quiet peace that comes from finding "the way".
