Description
As a child My bedroom window overlooked 2 frangipani trees (a white and pink variety). The frangipani is a West Indian plant, named after the inventor Marquis Frangipani. Then when I married and moved away I took a cutting from each tree and planted them in our front gardens. They now tower over our front rooms offering shade relief in the hot Australian summer mornings. Their blooms admired by all that pass by. During the day they are often filled with sparrows flitting around after insects, and at night they have been known to host the occasional big green tree frog.
We have 6 or 7 species tree frogs that frequent our yard. Of these the big green tree frogs are master. They sit and stare at you with an air of authority, they have even been observed to leap after smaller frogs in an attempt to swallow them whole. They will allow us humans to photograph and observe them, then when they tire of the attention they simply turn their backs as if to dismiss us.
This image brings together 2 aspects of our yard that I enjoy. Hope you like the finished result.

A wonderful result. You must have green fingers to get the frangipani to grow from a cutting.
