Eyes Do Cry
Building blocks of life
A trail of memories
My eyes do cry
Stranded in a sleepless rain
Soaked to the skin
Sleet and rain
Shadow in the mist
Kiss my skin
Dance with your soul
Listen to the music
Spread like wild fire
No longer be alone
My right shoe
The strap broke
Now I go bare-footing
Walking the lands
Many delights to the eye
Reflections off the water
The mirror caught my look
It that me
Really me
Twirling a strand of hair
Around my finger
Far off in the distance
A whistle blew
Butterflies fluttering about
Birds could be heard
Singing their sweet tunes
My eyes do cry
Building blocks of life

Eyes do see
