Description

Ok...finally got the shadow to do what I wanted. Not sure what the original problem was, but it's fixed, so who cares. LOL This is Halema'uma'u Crater within Kilauea's Caldera. From 1905 to 1924 it was a lava lake within the caldera, and it's the home of Pele, the goddess of volcanoes. In 1924 the lava lake drained abruptly allowing rain water to trickle down into the mountain which caused a massive steam explosion which left the crater of this size. It was originally somewhat smaller in diameter, but much deeper, but subsequent eruptions and collapses have made it much shallower and a bit wider. Elizabeth is another friend that'd I'd been wanting to do another render for, and since this is one of the photos from my trip that I'll be packaging to submit to the marketplace, it seemed a good time to kill two birds with one stone and try a render with one. I'm not sure what size images to do though. By default the photos are 2816x2112 which seems quite a bit too big. I reduced this one to 1024x768. I guess if anybody has any opinions on what a good size to do would be, please let me know. :) Wasn't sure if I wanted to include maybe two different sizes to. *shrug* There's one IBL and one spot behind her for the shadow to match up with the photo. Clothing is DAZ, Hair is Sapphire Fox Hair. Pose is one from Ilona's Body Language Series I think. Thanks for looking and for all the comments recently. Happy Saturday John

You have matched the lighting to perfection and she blends well with the scene John. Very well done indeed. You will do well with these photos. You might as well leave at full size, so people can re-size to suite their image, IMHO. Steve :o)

Cool composition and thanks for the history lesson (so a mountain essentially blew up?!). I concur with shanpoo on the photo comments, and would suggest you try some graininess filters on the poser figure in postwork (poser renders can sometimes seem too clean and glossy compared to photos.
