Je länger man malt, desto mehr ist man Lehrling The longer you paint the more you are an apprentice.

Brief introduction: SaintFox is
-a woman born 1962 at the north sea coast of Germany.
-moved to the german midwest in 1996
-to a small town that offers a lot of medieval inspiration
-has at least two souls
...and about the nick: It's a mixture of my haircolor and a tattooed fox cub that I wear and that looks so saintly as a vegetarian. As long as I can think I enjoyed being creative - and I always loved learning something new! As I had my first look here I so much wanted to do images like the ones I saw in the gallery. But it took me several years to be brave enough to post my first image here. After all I do not understand anymore what made me hesitate so long... I'm a professional artist/illustrator, not at least because of the permanent encouragement of the "Captain of my heart", he's my muse, my secretary, my "wonderwall" against those things that are able to disturb creative processes so easily. Most of my work is published by a german gallery in Gelsenkirchen and available at my own homepage, too. In late 2005 I wask asked for my first collaborated works and so I finally found a second profession in doing my own characters and textures what enables me to give my images even more personal style.
Whenever I start to work on something new - especially when working with characters - there is a moment when the bundle of polygons and pixels suddenly seems to look at me from the other side of the monitor, it's the moment when my creations get personality. This is, at least, what I like to "transport" with my products: artist tools that are able to inspire the people that work with them because they have a kind of "virtual soul".
A woman under influence
Major influences on my work come from other admired artists and music. Some of my favorites: Jan Vermeer van Delft James Jaques Tissot Rembrandt van Rijn Hajime Sorayama Olivia De Berardinis Marcus Gray Herb Ritts Helmut Newton Alberto Vargas Ricky Carralero Gerald Brom ...and, regarding the feelings that I have when doing my characters: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein! Music: Too much to count, alternative and classics preferred but sometimes it has to be soul or jazz, too. The second large influence are people I met here: They comment on my images and help me to enhance them, they share their knowledge and finally some of them decided to involve me in their projects. For me (as I grew up in the before-internet-age) it's still some kind of miracle that people are able to work together independent of where they live.
...and, before I forget, the strongest influence during the last years came from some lines I read about 15 years ago:
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.

Oh, those stocking are fantastic--and funny! You have to have a big personality to wear those around town. And the flaming dress is ..hot!

MajinBoo
Hmph! That dress is smoking this texture is smoking(so what's wearing it)!
HADCANCER
Very nice render as usual. Killer stockings ( pioson or pirate?). As to the dress ( very hot) when I first viewed it it looked like a Skort. Pardon me if I got it wrong as I do not wear them..LOL. What I am trying to is a skirt that has legs like pants. However went I view closer I found it to be an opyical illusion because the pattern on the back of the skirt matched exactly to the front of the skirt. I assume had you changed the angle slightly this would not have occured. As I said when I zoomed in the edges of the skirt became clear. I am assuming since this is image I ther will be at least an image 2.

Wonderful skin texture. Excellent image!!!!!

Soft and clean. Seems to me that there should be some sort of shadow between the back and the front of the skirt, especially in the space between the legs. Anyway, overall is enchanting.
hansklerk
Beautifull done (again), but I agree with both "bogart137" and "havecancer" there should be some shadow between the back and the front of the skirt. It does seem a small thing but it distracts your eye from the rest of the picture. Some Photoshopping and it would be fine.

Yeah, let the good times roll!!!

Great jersey dress - but what really caught my eye were the stockings, I really liked the detail in the material. Very nice!
