Description

I rendered this twice with different lightings. The first one was HDR IBL AO lighting and the second was with just IBL AO. I couldn't make my mind up between the two so thought blow it I'll post both. I am so in love with Rebelmommys character Lara...she is awesome! (bg free from bogwoppet)

I think I prefer the upper one for being less... glossy? posterized? Don't give that too much thought: I prefer natural skin to any make-up, and the lower one just looks more powdered. That shouldn't bother you. Once again I wonder at the arm pit: is it realistic for people outside Darfur (or similar areas of hunger) to have such thin upper arms? I think I would add at least a quarter to the diameter. Still, I enjoy both versions!

Wow! It never ceases to amaze me what a difference lighting makes to an image. With that said both are great!

I prefer the lower one actually. I'm having a hard time seeing the need for HDR IBL, personally. I mean, the difference I see between a 1% spotlight and a 256% spotlight seems to be the difference between no light at all and so much light as to wash out the image, so needing more lighting resolution than that on the IBL seems unecessary to me. But maybe I'm just missing some subtlety. Oh, and I sure hope she has the safety on there.

Great Lara shots. Personally when she's out tomb raiding I like to think she doesn't bother as much with makeup, but that's just me.
