Description
Just purchased a macro lens and have been out exploring....one of the better shots from this weekend.
If anyone knows what kind of fly this is I'd appreciate it if you could enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

No idea what the fly is but this is a brilliant macro shot!! All that pollen, so funny!! Definitely a must for full size view. Excellent capture with wonderful colours too! xx

I have no idea. BTW, did you use a vivid color setting or perhaps you added some saturation of hit the auto correct or something but I find the colors a little harsher than they need to be. It tends to take something away from enjoyment of the details of this macro. Still, wonderful compo and pov and I do like the focus.

Have to agree about the saturation, other than than Excellent macro, looks like a hover fly Stuart

yes, vivid was set, but fortunately I have the Raw file and can redo, which I should have done before posting. Good observation.
