Description
I was going for a "chilly night" effect here. Although I'm not really happy with the blotchy stars that Bryce puts out.

Forget using Bryce stars - they don't look real enough ;) Use Universe to make a good star background, then apply this image to flat 2D square object to create your backdrop. With the landscape on this image, the scale of the texture doesn't seem to match, try increasing the scale and play around with object space/world space etc and see which effect looks best. I hope you don't mind the comment but I like what you are trying to do and would like to help ;)

Thanks for the tips. I'm fairly new to Bryce, but I have used that Universe image creater program to create good space-scapes before...so I'll try out your suggestion. :)

Good stuff. I'm new to Bryce to and have the same concerns about the stars in Bryce. I've never used Universe but will have to look into it for sure. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Beautiful image. Fantastic what you did to the water.

Oh... My first post went awry! I firstly asked how you did the water? Is it purely shadow and reflection giving the depth or did you do something deviously clever? Then I suggested adding a bit of haze/ fog to give more depth to the mountains... or make them a lot bigger so they reach the horizon?

The water is just shadow and reflection...I'm not too clever, so I had to do it the easy way. ;) Yeah, fog would be good. I'm working on fixing this image up a bit per the suggestions I've been getting. Thanx. :)
