He knew that his move back to his old home state from L.A. was long over due. Divorced two years, home finally sold, he needed to start anew. He needed to get back to his roots, family. That was all he ever wanted, home; wife; children, surrounded by noises any good man could take pride in. He needed to hear the sound of laughter from happy children, the sounds of gurgling giggling babies and smells from a cozy kitchen with a soft hearted woman who knew her place; waiting for him and behind a stove if not there, then in his warm bed, inviting him to join her. California women had lost touch with their feminine side, it was all about material gain, what did they care about the smell of apple pie? About sitting next to a crackling fire on a cold Wisconsin evening? "Don't mess up the hair! Don't smudge the make-up! Don't wrinkle the Rifat Ozbek top, or Dolce and Gabbana skirt!" Enough! Shawn wanted a woman who laughed, played, wore threadbare blue jeans and a T-shirt now and then; who didn't mind the wind in her hair, who enjoyed and was uplifted by the sound of an out of control infant, laughing hysterically. No, L.A. was not the place for him, as his failed marriage proved. Even so, it might not be too late for his dreams after all. He'd happened to hear that right across the road from him, due to small town talk, that there was this woman, one helluva a woman, nose in the air proud, a lady, a catch - a Sylvia Payne. All said that was her name, and the song she sang - "No Men Allowed!" Oh g/f this is a beautiful piece of artwork! Someone else had comment on the background adding a touch that looks like a photo....so true! I like how the background is sorta a blur....this makes him really stand out! Excellent!
