Welcome Friends
I am so glad you stopped in to visit.
My name is Kimberly Stevens, aka Kimberly.3D or BrightSoul.Â
I am an artist, 2D and 3D and I am having fun just working on new models all the time and web design.
I have my own site at www.kimberly3d.com/index.htm  however it is a pleasure to be a member at Renderosity and create a home page here!
I think Renderosity has helped me come further in my art than I would have on my own and this is much appreciated.

Excellent use of lighting. Good choice of clothing, and a good expression. I like the fact that the human figure is a relatively small part of the image.

Very beautiful image! I love the prespective and lighting!

This is a great scene but I think the integration between the character and the background is not very good. I think this could be due to her shadow, which doesnt fit the light source (her shadow is as if the wall with arches didnt exist).
Acadia
I love the scene and perspective. I think you captured what you were going for, very well. The shadow was already mentioned by someone. One thing I would have liked is to have less empty forground and have the figure closer to the camera so that more of her face detail could be seen. Right now she is kind of lost in the large background.

I like the POV on this image and I think it works well without having the character close to the camera. I agree about the shadow also. Well done.

Lovely...Thank you

Nice integration of the character in the scene. I like how it is almost empty, gives it more feeling I think. The problem with the shadow is the only negative, I think it is too dark as opposed to the shadow of the arches.

You captured the mood and emotions perfectly. Superb with the grey tones. This is gorgeous. CC

One trick you can do to try to fix the shadow: - Light the figure with an Infinite light at the same angle as the sunlight in your background image, and probably a fill light from the wall angle - Put in some kind of prop with a hole in it, in the same shape as the arched opening in the wall; many methods for making such a thing are discussed here

The wall itself looks very good, and the lights work well. Great play wirth the shadows, although the right shadow of the lady indeed seems a bit too hard. But what you tried to capture comes out very well.

Yes, you're going to have a very hard time matching Poser's shadows to a photo like this where you have a complicated lighting setup. (LOL. Did I just say that? Like the architect was going to say, ooh, I will put this arch here, it will make a complicated lighting setup. ha. Anyway.) A quick and easy cheat would be to nearly-erase the parts of her shadow that fall outside of the brightly-lit windows, and slightly fade the part that does fall across it. I would also fade the shadow that falls behind her. Another alternative would be to place her further back, in front of the doorway. It would be easier to match her in there. You've picked a great subject matter here but you've also given yourself a real challenge ;-)

You'd think that someone dressed like that would have more attention that she could handle. :) I like the idea, the mood, and the placement of the figure, but agree with the statements about the shadows.
