Description

Tried several things reflecting in the eye, but they just confused the scene. The tear is 3 metaballs and the trail is a second face mesh moved out .01 units. Put a water mat on it, rendered and then erased all but the trail. Tried several texture maps and got pixelation on all, being this close up.

very creative way to go about the tear's trail....! i would try doing metaballs all the way though, the trail looks a bit flat imho.....but great job otherwise!! -chachi

The tear looks great, but the eye might be better if the eyelashes looked bunched up like they do when they're wet and if the eye were red/puffy--you can generally tell if someone has been crying even without seeing the tears. Then again, that might not make such a pretty close-up ;)

Wonderful work here I think you were right to leave the reflection out of the eye. I am a believer of less is more myself even if I seem not to always follw that rule at times. Excellent work

I'm not so sure this close up works for me. Looks a bit artificial because the streak is too straight--like a clear piece of tape. However, it is way better than anything I can do. Sorry to be so negative about a lot of hard work there. I think it would look fantastic, if the figure were farther away, though.

WOnderfully done! (Whenever I see a 'tear' like that it reminds me of the old t.v. commercial with the Indian Chief 'crying' a tear because of all the 'litter' on the ground).
