My Audubon guide calls the Green Heron "solitary and wary," but this guy apparently hadn't gotten the memo. Captured this morning at Vasona Park in Los Gatos, CA, where the critters are all habituated to people, and love to pose!

it's the deaf and colorblind one, he looks a tad more orange than green! I'm sure your photo is accurate and also it's pleasant to see!
