Have been an artist since I acquired my first box of Crayolas. :-) Before buying a computer back in 1993, I mostly created calligraphy, pen and ink and acrylic works. Pen and ink stipple drawings and pastel pet portraits were my specialty.
Today I work almost exclusively in 3D, using Bryce, Vue d'Esprit, TrueSpace and Poser. Rhino, Organica and TrueSpace are my main model-making programs. Digital art and composing MIDI music keep me glued to my computer and I rarely come up for air. :-)

Very nice scene!

Well thanks so much, Lourdes. :-) I really enjoyed creating it. Believe it or not I actually made this scene last August during a heat wave! LOL

Gee! :-) You guys really made my day. Now you have me inspired to start a new scene in Vue. Maybe a summer one this time? :-)

This is a beautiful piece of work. I love the way the trees carry the snow and also the quality of that volume light. Very enjoyable picture. I've only worked in Bryce before, but this makes me think that Vue would be interesting to try out some time. One minor observation is that the spire of the church would probably shed the snow so it might look better textured like the tower?
mikero451
Now that is a very good point about the spire! I think I love the snow texture so much that I got a wee bit carried away! LOL

I love the way you light up snow. (Also considering Vue, here. You do a great job of showing what it can do.)
mikero451
Thanks so much Poppi. :-) The lighting is so versatile in Vue that I think it is one of its major strengths.
