At least I think it's a Grevillea, but I won't ask you to help me identify this one. :-) This was the only blossom on the tree, and it's not completely open, but I liked it anyway. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

You certainly have an eye for finding the beautiful and unusual. I've never seen or heard of this before but it sure is pretty. I would love to see the tree in full bloom.

I believe it's a Callistemon (Dawson River) type of bottle brush, we have them growing in our backyard. I think somewhere in my gallery I have a picture of one open. Excellent capture POV & DOF Stuart

It's fascinating to see the different stages of development in this incredible flower. As a tree in full bloom it would be nearly overwhelming. Does it have a scent?

Nice shot. Its definietly a Callistemon species (common name = bottle bush). Its a plant sepcies from Australia.
