Description
Sometimes called Cornflower and there is a very cool story behind that name, but most people call it Bachelor Button. Popped up from nowhere in my yard today.

I had a patch of these growing under my redwood tree in my front yard and the richness of the blue greeted me every evening when I came home from work. They are such happy flowers. I know that photographing them is a pain though because they catch the breeze so easily and because the centers are so much taller than the feathery width. This is a great shot and you are lucky to have them.
