Description

Good Saturday to You! This was inspired by a friend who is a "guardian" of rock art sites here in Oregon. Magic places with long ago stories, directions, and instructions carved in rocks, caves and cliffs. I will be catching up with comments on your wonderful work and emails over the weekend. I've always been rabid about prehistoric cave art, glyphs etc, and this is a most excellent representsation dear Jill ! ....love the texture and very complimentary choice of colors...10*'s ! ~ Hugs ~

Beautiful earth tones, Jill. I love the sense of an ancient culture's communication. Stories have been so essential throughout time, and you capture the idea of the symbolism here. To my eye I see a whale mother and her offspring, along with the tools of the hunt. It brings to mind the Inuit people. Excellent work, Jill. Hugs, Suzanne

This is so earthy and full of texture. Gorgeous design and I just adore thecolors and how it speaks in such a natural way.. It would look exquisite as a giant painting for a wall. CC

Beautiful work - you're right - I love this! The colors, the textures, (the eye), awesome. Love the greenish patina color. It's different from your usual, but it's still clearly you. Nice!

You asked where all that milk and rum did go? ;) You have to ask Willy Jilly lol. I got reminded to cave art too without reading your words about your friend the gurdian. I just try to remember that travel a couple of years ago to france where you can find some ancient art and that was such a strange and breathtaking experience! Rock art is something very sacred for me and I have used it as an element in my graphic design but not in a painting as you have here, I can certainly see the mysterious elements in the painting. Thank you for sharing. egmont
