Description

Ferryman Fractal & PSP. I wasn't sure to name this one 'skindeep' or 'the dive', but well I picked one :D Quite some people seem to have problems to get started with the ferryman, so here's a little tutorial to get you underway: -First thing to do after opening the program, is to open a new blank document. - A box will open and you fill in the size and name for the project, than click 'ok'. -You will see a raster after you have done this, but no fractal. -Now you go to 'layers' and select a new layer. - a small block will open in wich you can name the layer, select julia or mandelbrot, and the boundaries of the parameter. When you're done with that you click 'ok'. - A fractal will now appear over the raster. - you can modify the fractal with the box at the bottom right called property editor. - at the top of it you see the words 'general', 'color', 'iters', 'escs' and 'tunes'. -under 'general' you'll see a line defining the color now used; click in the line to add a color, and doubleclick the little triangles underneath it to modify each separate color. -you can also adjust the blending modes here, and when you click on the box and scroll downwards you will find the quality settings. - under the other tabs above the individual modifications, you will also see a map-opening icon. -click this icon, and find a lot of possibilities. I think you will manage to go your own way now ;-) Hope to have got you underway, but if not here's a link to Span's own video tutorial: http://www.cgpad.com/cgpad_en/fk_down.asp?id=1 Of course there's more to find on his site: http://www.cgpad.com/cgpad_en/fk_index.asp
