Description

Haven't posted in a loooong time. But I've been doing lots of renders, now it's a matter of compositing and uploading... Marina Del Rey beach background by me. I've been taking lots of photos throughout L.A. for backgrounds, I probably look like such a tourist in my own city! Comments always appreciated! PS. It took me over an hour to get the thumbnail to fit under 15k and had to alter it a lot, if anyone has tips to help me figure out how to keep the quality on such a low res image, please let me know! Beautiful expression and lighting ! Superbe portrait ! I usually do big size renders (3000 x 3000 at 600 dpi) and then select a little piece of it that I paste into my thumbnail base, shrink it a bit if necessary and saved it in JPEG with a compression rate between 20/30 in PSP9. I never use Photoshop for image compression because the result is not as good as it is in PSP9, don't ask me why ! :) My thumbnails never get over 10ko, even the larger ones I post at DAZ3D. I hope this will help you a little ;)

Thanks Zazou for your help (and comment!) I don't have PSP, just Photoshop. Finally I saved it as "save for web" at medium setting and it went down to 16K and got accepted. The first 2 thumbnails I posted really sucked, this one is the best...

in photoshop CS you can do an optimise to file size when you do a save for web. There's a little arrow thingie on the right of the screen - dunno if it's in any other versions though
