Description

I don't know about the only thing I'm happy with this shot is the crop, POV and framing. I couldn't quite get the editing right...

I love this shot, and how the object fills the image and the frame... The colors are very appropriate for this lovely piece of industrial heritage; the shapes, lines and swirls are wonderful and again, excellent and very clever build-up. Maybe a polarising filter would have helped to keep the reflections under control (I assume that's the part you were having trouble with...).

You SHOULD be proud of this one! It's a great classical shot, beautiful editing work and I agree with the POV and crop. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY :-)

Carry with you a fill card that can also be used as a gobo to block out reflective light and then we would have more detail on the instrument, for otherwise I like the over all composition and subject matter. Of course another alternative would be nine to eleven different exposures and build an HDR file, but that might have certain drawbacks as it would look more like an illustration and the beauty of tone would be lost. Certainly a tough situation. Thank you for sharing. egmont
