A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

@PeeWee05 : Hi Vera, Thank you very much for your straight comment; I do appreciate a lot when people give their honest opinion about my uploads. I do agree totally with you about the technical quality of the picture; in such candid captures Im working in full automatic settings of my Nikon and I pay more attention to the composition than to the DOF About the true intent of the shot, you may have noticed that Im currently posting a series of images taken in Paris where I try to associate a special place with a bench so, I wanted to have the clock AND the girl on the picture ! Furthermore, the famous clock of the Orsay Museum has already been published several times in the RR galleries and I didnt want to repeat this kind of tourist shot Anyway, thank you once more for your opinion.

Dear Michel, I love this shot!!! You capture a very special mood. Superbe muted hues, beautiful light beyond the windows. I do not think the little lady bored, she looks tired, a little lost in this huge place. I see so much beauty here. Glorious work :-) and a splendid series. Have a wonderful evening my friend. Hugs, kisses, bisous. DiDi.

I totally appreciate your eye for compo and I've been enjoying your bench series very much. I think it would be nice to include the writings of the clock in your notes, then ppl like me would understand wink On this shot I do love the compo (apart from the leveling, unless that was on purpose), more than anything I love the bored and tired expression from the girl. I would suggest instead of shooting in full auto set your camera to either shutter or aperture. When I'm indoors I set to shutter (as in the Science Museum) but outdoors I use aperture. I found that doing this helps me take more 'control' of my work, plus I feel more 'real' in shooting grin I'm really glad that you can take CC and that you replied to my comment.
