Sorry no picture!BIOHello! My name is Tunde King (and yes this is a girl name) I am living in Australia, on a Central coast between ocean and lake.
I use a canon 400d dslr with many lenses and filters, when editing cs3 is my choice.
I love to take picture of everything but my favorite subject(s) is food photography and still life. On holidays I do capture nature's beauty and I am not shy make abstarct pictures either.
I have no study of any kind in photography. Magazines and book and a very helpful photography forums lend a hand to be better and understanding taking a photograph.

excellent job of photographing the black. some colors are just so much more difficult to get shots of with any distinction at all. Nice job.

Tunde ....That's great !

Another wonderful creation from your fertile mind, my dear, but its meaning is beyond my ken. Is it trying to convey the impression that a match is never without a mate? In any event, great definition, shadows, and surface texture, Tunde!

excellent job of capturing the charcoal texture of the spent matches.

Brilliant capture, excellent quality Stuart

super macro and you go one step farther and burn 2 matches at the same time. I have tried burning both ends and got burnt

excellent shot...very different!

I agree it is difficult. I don't like the textured background I think is makes the black's texture harder to shot. Diffusing the light that falls onto the matches and having reflectors (simply white paper) can really help in lighting the detail and capturing the colour of black. I feel that a white background would've helped too. IMHO
