Description

Hello :) (Draft of a model Im creating), I would like any suggestions on his skin?Scales deep ridges,or left alone.Idea's welcomed. I created this out of spheres .The head is 3 zspheres starting at under 200 polys. Then up levels and moving the wires ending at about 1.6 million polys. The tongue and teeth I made out of spheres also.Deforming and skewing, adding detail etc all In zb2.The texture is just dark shades around the eyes and mouth.I postworked some colour blurs and shading.I can post the step by step if anyones intrested. Thanks for looking as ever, wishing everyone well! ................................................. Works really hard at the mo,learning xsi6 and lots of downloaded tuts is killing me.I get ZB3 tommorrow too,and Im only 4 hour sleeping a day currently!..lol ................................................. See you around cal byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Outstanding! The only suggestion I would have for the skin is maybe some pores. There was a tutorial on such a thing for Zbrush in the October issue of 3DWorld.

Thats fabntastic! but yeah pores or more skin texture bump wise as it seems to smooth when you have so much texture detail around the eyes as the rest of the skin is giving an illusion of pulled leather. Well done so far, can't wait to see the finished product :D

OoooooooH! Excellant and simply Evil looking! I have suggestions...only cause I would be interested to see how it came out! How about some crackleture in the skin? Coupled with Forevernyte's idea of the deep pores? Kind of like the area you have around the eyes! HuggerZ! Ariana

Your attention to detail here is self evident and compliments the formidable character, admirably. This is absolutely breathtaking and very beautiful art Calum. You have a unique skill and talent which is hard, if not impossible to match. Magnificent! Steve :o)

SIMPLY MASTERFUL!!!!!!!! I would make him really slimey looking if he is to be smooth or give him some rough skin texture, maybe a bit snake-like. Either way it is pure brilliance!!!!

Yes maybe a little snake like, but I would make his eyes less human, infact like a snake they would make him much more demonic, the highlights on these eyes seem a little intense compared to the skin highlighting, I've seen quite a few renders with xsi and of course it's a main stay of TV and film productions so you should be set there, awesome work on this Cal you have a wonderful talent.

lov it! as far as scales or skin texture, sure there are tons of choices but knowing you and your work you create something different than any other and that is what makes your art unique.
