Description
Drawn with Wacom in PSP7.
This little lady is a mature female Australian Harlequin Bug. She was one of zillions of bugs infesting a single tree, but she particularly captured my attention because of how protective she was of her eggs.
Harlequins vary in colour with each shedding of skin. The males tend to be brightest, covered with shimmerig metalic blues, greens and red, whereas this is typical calmer colours of the female.
The original image is approx 3600pix at widest length.

Excellent artwork of an interesting critter. I love how you have the light on the eggs, well done. You certainly work with a very large picture.
