Perfect castle scene!

The scene is beautifully rendered but with no definite scaled objects in the foreground (like an animal or human) the castle looks a tad too small.

Yes, beautiful! About as close to 3D as one can get without stereo glasses. The lighting is top notch, with all the "layers" of this deep scene clearly delineated by rim lighting (light from the edges, or just behind them) and just enough fill to give good dynamic range (range of light to dark) and excellent chiaroscuro (roughly: the play of light and dark areas). I love it when someone breaks a "rule" of art. You are "supposed" to use red in the foreground and blue in the distance (since we expect red to "advance" and blue to "recede", because of aerial perspective). Yet here, the exact opposite works very well indeed! Following what your image tells you, rather than "the rules", makes for pragmatic art that stands out above the crowd. You gotta love this sky rendering! And the water is perfect, as usual, just the right amount of ripple and very realistic handling of the vegetation at the edges, where land starts. The POV is such that transparency in the foreground water would not be expected and i see none. The scale of the castle doesn't bother me, but the size and abruptness of that rocky terrain it sits on does a bit. To me, that is what may make the castle seem a bit small, not the building itself. Even in a photo, that terrain would look a bit incredible, i think. The only other small issue for me is the very bright "V" shaped trunk of the tree under and in front of the red tree. While that trunk helps balance the composition, the center-of-interest and eye travel should be the castle first and red tree second - but that bright trunk keeps drawing my eye away from both. The other trees are wonderfully lighted. To my mind, this has got to be in your top three.
