Description

Shot taken a little while back. I will return to this mighty oak very soon, to get a shot when she wears her glorious green cloak of leaves. Have a beautiful eventime. The light again is beautiful as I type, early evening sun :-) This seems to be the best part of the day in Bay of late. Hugs. Diane.

Trees belong really to the subjects you capture the best... I really like this giant fractal tree against the wide blue sky ! And indeed, as you say, the light is fantastic ! Much character to this tree. In the mist mornings, it could look scary. But with a green coat of leaves, it provides a nice shade. Excellent capture with its rock wall. Aloha

What a wonderful capture Diane, great composition and lovely textures to the old stone walling. The sky is magnificent. I bet it won't be too much longer until her branches are filled with lush green leaves again. And I agree, this time of the eveing is lovely - I can see through my conservatory the little grey tits pinching the seeds from our bird feeders we have hanging out there - such a beautiful sight. Majestic oak Diana ! A huge specimen... for me the oak is king of trees. Beautifully captured showing how intrincate are the branchs. Really awesome.
