We drove by the cemetery in Galveston, Texas on May 13, 2007. I had been there before

A movingly beautiful capture. It is good to know that this grave is still tended, lovingly. I find peace also walking in Chuch yards. May this day be kind to you and yours. Diane.

I have spent many afternoons in the Galveston Cemetery. It is beautiful when in bloom (and quite stern when not. So much can be seen and remembered there. Seems like after every tramatic storm (since 1900) the business of retelling the tales is ignited. This is a lovely shot. Simple and quiet. Ah, but what of the poor souls whose families are also gone and there is no one to remember what a good mother they had been? There is the balance side to this shot. BTW, very nice photo.
