Description

These hatched at about 3:15 p.m. today. There are still two eggs not hatched yet. Probably this evening. THEN I CAN GET TO MY ROSES!!! Mum built her nest right next to where I had heeled in my roses for the winter...last winter, that is. I haven't been able to dig them for fear of her abandoning her nest.

What a delight to have in your garden. I have two cats so these fellas wouldn't last long in mine! Lovely detail on the eggs!

I raise birds but they are in a large cage outside. I have noticed that there are no wild bird nests around my well-planted yard. but then, I have neighborhood cats. The bain of any backyard wildlife lover. :-) This is a great find and a wonderful shot.
