Description

This is an excellent site to visit, just hidden in the River Nairn valley near Culloden battlefield, Inverness. If you check some of my early posts you will find one of my aerial views of this site and also more recently views of a similiar type of cairn near Loch Ness. The point of view is achieved by mounting the camera on a pole. When you zoom in you will be able to view the other two large cairns in the background.

great birds-eye view. I wonder if there would have been thick forest around them when origionaly built? reminds me of sites on the west coast in Kilmartin valley, Argyll - www.kilmartin.org - :)

I am intrigued by our human need to erect these over time. Very well captured and I am sure a must to visit when in your area.
