Description

Im working on an Arctic seas environment at the moment, using 'light from side' and 'light from below' in Dmytrys rendering DDLB for volumetrics its posible to get those blueish shadows that you see with icebergs. Im still working on the colours and plan to add another isosurface for smaller floating clumps which should break up the water areas which take far too long to render. Created using Dmytrys volumetric plug-in Cheers.. Shaun.

Xlt work Shaun as Ice has an element of transparency perhap it maybe worth adding it into the materials...there again I dont know if trans is suppoerted in the materials from memory so scratch that?! Love the formations, they look ACE! Cant wait to se this devlop further. Have you thought about a mixed Vol environment...Iceberg in one area & canyons in another ? A bit like Lewi Duted butas a Volumetric planet :-) No that would be cool :-) Hat off to you!

I did something similar with Terragen 2 (Antartic Ice Arch), though I suspect the process I used was far different than yours! I dig those shapes - a lot more like what I wanted to do...

This is something (Ice) that I've thought of doing many times....I've managed nothing near to this so far...Excellent work Shaun!!....the shapes & colors are superb!!...I have sailed both the Artic & Antartic in my time and I can honestly say you capture the essence of those places perfectly!!...^_^

Wow, you are really producing some fine stuff with the plugin. Isosurfaces look fantastic, also cool work on the 'ambient' blue. It is something that can be pretty tricky to get right.
