Hi there! My name is Stefan Haeger. I'm a render artist since 1999. I have started uploading images to renderosity in 2002. I'm interested in rendered images since I saw the first ones on a commodore amiga 500. I've tried a lot of programs, but the one I stick to since version 2 is Vue d'Esprit. That is my favorite rendering program. Look at my gallery to see what I've done with it...

There's not very much to tell about me. I'm working at a german bank as a technical administrator ( I do the internet servers and so...). Rendering images is still my favorite hobby. I model a lot more than in the beginning. In the beginning I always wanted to use out-of-the-box ready models because I thought I couldn't model. But now I give away some for free and also at the marketplace. You'll see how your skills improve as you use a special software. You just need to have enough time...

Vue certainly has progressed from 1.2! I bet it was fun playing in the older version. Thank you for sharing this.

Yes, it was loads of fun playing with vue 1.2... I was even amazed that the marble texture is from Vue 1.2 - and its still included in the same resolution (slightly new name) in Vue 6. =) Also interesting how some small things changed - in the material preview in 1.2 it says "Object to be displayed" while in Vue 6 it says "ObjectS to be displayed" (although you can only choose one object for material preview... I like how many windows have kept their look and feel and it was amazing to discover that the "Grass and rock" material originates from the first version. Thanks for looking and sharing that nostalgic moment with me :D

Windows 3.1????!!!! Why are you still using that? That was like,7 floppy disks to install and you had to have DOS running first. Your computer has a floppy drive??!! LOL, someplace here i have a 100 MB hard drive that i had win 3.1 installed to, tried to load win95 to it and it basicly laughed at me. Thanks for the laugh!

Actually my WIndows 3.11 for Workgroups has 8 disks. =) I am not really using it anymore - it was more of a gag to run Vue 1.2.

LOL! OMG I remember receiving Vue D'esprit version 1 in a hand written envelope from France on floppies! Ah... brings back memories! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

This is really cool! The first version I ever played around with was 3. I see the winamp icon there on your desktop... I'm a big winamp fan!
