Hi all,
I put this one up in the forums where we are talking about HDR once again... Anyway I finally cracked last night and went and bought photomatix... SOOOO this is the first and probably best (cause it don't have them silly watermarks on it LOL) HDR I've done so far. Hope you like what you see (shots were taken last night before I got the program)

Perfect title. If you flipped this over it would look like natural gas wells burning at night. Well, kind of. It's beautiful right-side-up, too. I'll have to take a look at that software.

Wonderful detail - and a factual argument pro HDR. On the other hand - the image itself probably would have profited from a tighter - more panoramic crop, even if that would mean to sacrifice some of the reflections. (Just my humble 2 cents)

I read a bit of that thread in the forum, then decided that I just never manage to take the same shot with different exposures (not exactly the same shot that is!!) so therefore would never work for me however.......... after seeing this, I think it is well worth the time and patience to get the tripod out and take the shots - this is beautiful. The golden tones and reflections are perfect. The clarity and detail are fantastic. I have no idea of the cost involved in this program, but with results as professional as this, you could make your money back in no time. A sublime capture(s) Kai. Excellent. xx

HDR seems fantastic, need to try it out sometime, but to take several identical shots, I will have to buy a tripod first I think... Wonderful photo Kai, the lights and reflections give it a special look and mood, bravo!
