Description

Mother Earth ------------ by ZOT Created with: Poser, Photoshop, graphics tablet, etc. Created: 17-May-2007 ========================= About: ------ At one stage I had text on it, (hence the rather bare area now between the vines at the lower right), but I left the text out because it felt too 'preachy'. Overall, with this project I've reminded myself again that I can't draw. - Oh well, at least I found my graphic tablet again. It's 2am, I've got a headache, and I have to get up in 3 hours so I'd better get some sleep. Z. =========================

I like the dark area (I assume that is where text was) it creates illusion of depth and pushes the main vine forward. The water turned to hand-of-nature is effective symbology (my young daughter just did sculpture on topic of mother nature but she personified plant growth rather than water in her attempt). I love the drawn quality of leaves and the upper right area of the image (thats working wonderfully!), but I don't think the pink area is resolved yet. I question the pink colour, it makes me think it is the idea that its representing the 'blood of the earth' in which case it lacks boldness. ...Di
