Description

In a democracy we have to accept certain social compromises. I would never call this a "American Sports Coupe with bikini model." That is more the DAZ catalog way. It's how they have built there business model. It tells me they probably did not license the vehicle from any major car company and doesn't really tell me how the figure came about. I would call this an "image of a Corvette C5 digital model with a Victoria 4" in a stock pose perched on it's fender. That could get me in a lot of trouble some might think. Certainly it isn't an image of a Corvette. Corvette's are made of fibreglass and steel and aluminum and rubber and vinyl and nylon. They are licensed to specific owners by states. They have parking spaces and run on the roads. More specifically, they are sold in newspapers and on used car lots everyday by individuals other than their manufacturer with no licensing of their credentials. They are called "sharp", "one owner", "perfedct paint", "low mileage", and even "factory official." There is no design innovation in that. This species here portrayed is presented in a way only possible in the last 20 years. And...this particular image is of something that was designed with digital software. But it has some parts that definitely have no lineage whatsoever to General Motors or Discrete. I have looked at how DAZ sells their models with openning hoods, and doors. They are like very good toys in that way. The motors have detail but the underhood is minimal. Perhaps it is more important to notice the share value in them, how they share the space with real world items. How they can reinforce a memory or produce one for someone unfamiliar with a line. They need to be accurate in proportion and detail to encourage continuous possession if they are to survive. It's still another 20 years before this one can trade it's plates for "historic" or "antique" tags. I hope I have helped it along. Exactly how Victoria will merit in that same 20 years is a "plausible impossible." (Walt Disney phrase)

Very interesting comments on your image, have you tried re-texturing your vette?? I was makeing attempts yesterday and my changes didn't show up on the car!! I wanted to utilize an older image I had created as Graphic effects on the side of my lexus.. Didn't work out, oh well the car doesn't look too awfully bad as is!! But I really wanted more realism.. Well anyhow thanks for stopping in to my gallery and I will check out some of your other images as I butchered this comment with questions, lol..
