This is really wonderfully done, Carol. The combination of checkerboard-like background, black eyes that seem to be looking at you and the lacy parts in the spiral combine to an intriguing image, which seem to represent both past and modern times. Excellent!

Visually this is quite complex which I quite like and, as usual, zooming is rewarding. The quiet colours are also helpful (should I be saying that - quiet colours, ME!)
