This is a variation on an earlier post,in this example I have included more of the tree shadows in the foreground. Your comments on which has the better composition would be welcomed.

You are indeed fortunate to view examples of neolithic monumental art first hand. Images such as these speak to us from as long ago as 7,000 to 8,000 years -- if only we could read and understand their messages with more precision. I must content myself with reading my reference books ... "The Stars and the Stones", Brennan; "Exploring Newgrange", Uistin; "A Guide to Stone Circles", Burl; "Circles of Stone", Milligan & Burl. My sincere thanks to you for sharing these images ... I hope to see many, many more.
