It's a very well-composed image with excellent tones, indeed. I really love the "see-thru" window. I also like the tree growing at strange angle and the fact that the same kind of tree is visible at the back of the house - but that's a matter of good composition which's been praised already :)

One reason why this excellent composition works is the foreground. It compels the viewer to enter the scene. If one were standing where the camera was, they would experience a virtually irresistible urge to go in the house, spooky and forbidding as it were.
