Epistemic distance again! Think I've been studying Hick too much :P For anyone unfamiliar with this term, here is an outline of the concept: God created the world with humans at an epistemic distance from him for the purpose of giving us free will - this means that we can choose to ignore the presence of God (this is from a theistic pov), and we don't have the capacity to understand God in his vast magnificance. Howecer, for angels it is different; they are constantly in the direct presence of God, and cannot choose to ignore him. They hold the keys to greater truths in the cosmos. When Alex died his hair blonde, I thougth he looked like an angel - as he has this wonderful androginy to him, and an innocence in his face (I know different of course :P) We were doing a shoot in the graveyard, and this little capture i thought makes him look like a cheeky angel, looking into the eyes of God, knowing exactly what he's about. I played around with a border i downloaded from a free CD off a photography magazine, and playerd around with the blend modes. thanks for loking xx Cosmic (sorry for the essay :P)

Well firstly, thank you for explaining about epistemic distance - I'd never heard of it before but it sounds fascinating and really brings a whole new understanding to your shots. This is brilliant. I love the POV and I love his expression - yes, indeed a cheeky chap with an angelic air about him. The dark eye makeup makes him look like a fallen angel perhaps?! Great capture and great postwork with the border. xx
