Description

i have a small brick wall surrounding part of my flower garden. there is dirt on top of it, and i planted a few tulips in it to see if they would grow. i went outside one day to photograph them, and saw this one laying on the wall. i used my olympus e-300 evolt digital camera, set at macro. so far, out of all my flower photos, this is my favorite.

it is a contrast of textures here. and the bight colors of the flower with the dark brickes do work. I like it

Lovely image, nice contrast between the bricks and flower. How would it look with the flower rotated 90 degrees to the right?...just a thought

The pink against dark textures is really stark. The petals look a bit abused, perhaps by a strong wind or storm over night? I can see why its a favorite of yours.
