Description

After I built my chess set, I decided to do something fun with it. Here's the result. The queen's crown, and the chess set/board are my own props. The knight's armor is mostly the LM Raider armor, the helm is Casque2 (that's all I can remember) His footwear is just sandals and socks that are textured the same as the armor. His body texture is a combination of Edu from John on the run and a texture called Sid I used for the eyes. The beard is the SD Beard from Stardust The queen's body jewelery is from Benten, and the rest, I'm sorry to say, I cant attribute. Her body texture is the happyworldland_1634_14012976 "clean" skin. I've put this in the Poser, and the Bryce galleries, because it was pretty much a 50/50 split of resources. Comments most welcome.

Very nicely done! The chess pieces are really well done, although it would have been interesting to see textures for the "other side", unless you're suggesting that the opposing set is made of various human beings and "real" objects (and that could have been carried off a little in the background). The board itself is a nice piece of work as well -- very elegant solution.

VirtualSite, thanks for your comments. The only way to show the opposing pieces and keep the perspective and dimensions "normal" would be to make the pic in longshot, which I debated, but thought it would lessen the impact of the central characters. THe full chess set is pictured in my gallery if you, or anyone else, is interested.

Your chesspieces and board are extremly well done. I love how the chessboard squares are raised a little, and very reflective. As for the image as a whole, I like it. Cool concept and well executred. His armor looks more plastic then metal, but that does not take away from the image. Great work.
