Not bad - but there's a problem with the white area around the boats, which, though enhancing the detail on them, disturbs because it set's them off against the rest of the image. Keep plugging away! The path you're on looks quite interesting!

Always interested to see experiments but this doesn't really work for me, sorry! I don't like the texture in the sky or the white around the boats or the tilting horizon. But I do like the rowing boat. But then, I don't like aniseed or liquorice either, so don't pay too much attention to my judgement.
