Description

Nikon 7900 image. I was sure someone would ask me about the odd "bumps" on the underneath of the Dragonfly I posted yesterday but no one did. This Dragonnfly also has the odd "bumps". My uneducated guess is that they are some sort of parasite. I cannot believe they are eggs and that is the only other possible explaination I can come up with. If anyone has some info regarding such a thing, I would really appreciate them sharing it. Once again I will tell you that this image is well worth the time it takes to see the larger version. Fine details are a lot more evident in the large image. Thanks to all who take the time to comment. Lee

Hi lee!! I have uploaded a dragonfly last summer sometime, with those same bumps! I called them tumors LOL I have no idea what they are... I'll bet their eggs? Dont know .. but wow, what a great macro! EXCELLENT!
