Description

This gorgeous bird has been flying around my house this spring, TEASING me ... taunting me. I hear his beautiful song, I rush for the camera, only to either find a dead battery, or the wrong lens is on...I've even managed to stub a toe as I ran for the camera.. LOL .. but FINALLY I got him. :) I am not very happy with his pose, but I'm still working on it. I think before the snow flies once again, I will get a good one. :) Thanks again for stopping by .. I'd be happy with this capture, what a beautifully coloured bird the orange/ yellow really stands out against his black feathers, good luck at getting more shots Stuart

What a conspicuous bird it is! You are either very lucky or very persistent hunting birds all over MN, lol. Nothing wrong with the pose IMHO as it does display the backside along with the yellow frontal parts perfectly AND it makes eye contact. Well done.
