I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

Amazing rock balancing!! You actually do this!!! I have never seen this before. Wonderful collage and shots. Bare feet is best :-) Balance is better for you in bare feet!! It is. Super work from you. Diane.

You know they stick metal rods in the middle of stone stacks here and flog em off as garden ornaments charging a crap loada money for it?!! Start drilling them rocks and you could have your very own "Au natural' garden ornaments" store lol Stuff aside, Well done on the balancing :D

hmmm, i think i might try this. I remember seeing a doco ages ago about an artist who would build egg shaped sculptures out of slate and shale on beaches (in scoltland i think it was.). He'd then film them in time lapse as the tide would come in then recede. Amazing doco. Great pix, ty.

Um...okaaaay. I have NEVER heard of such a sport. But you know, whatever makes your boat float, or rocks balance...I always say. Kidding aside, this is really a great photo of an unusual hobby. Fantastic! Getting the rocks to balance on that fifth stone from the bottom had to be quite a feat.

Positively great idea and realisation ! This piece could be titled "Looking for equilibrium" > sounds Sci-Fi, no ? Keep on but avoid earthquakes...

hm. what a nice activity. i myself build dry-walls from time to time. so i have an idea how difficult it could be to place stones exactly on one another that they do not move. it's a kind of meditation what You do, i guess! nice work!

Great rock balancing technique, it must require patience and steady hands. Just a feeling of regret when you have to send it tumbling down hey? Tony :-)
