Description
This is a Character I am playing around with - the morphs are far from complete at the moment - so this is certainly a WIP and this is really a texture test - so feedback from the Critique Group is needed.
Figure is Victoria 4 with a custom texture and some playing around in the material room.....

OK - I changed over to some of Victorias Merchant Resource lashes and went for some eyes by Geom (I really suck at lashes and eyes) and ramped up the bump to .07.
There is still something about the eyes I'm not happy with - perhaps someone will put their finger on it

This is looking good :) The only thing I don't like are the eyelashes :( Maybe the lips are a little too glossy?

Its a good starting point. I like her expression, textures are Ok. For me, there are 2 things that need some extra work: the inner part of the lower lips and the dark parts behind the eyelashes, specially the lower ones, that looks too uniform. Oh! and I dont think its necessary such a big close up; the image would become more impressive if there were a little more space between the face and the frame. Sometimes big closeups make irreparable damages to the perception of images.

I agree, transmap of the eyelashes are too much visible. You need some bump for the skin, and the eyes don't look wet as they should. But it's a WIP, and it's looking good.

Great looking so far. Only the eyelashes and her lipps you have to work on. Excellent so far.

nice work, perhaps lashes look doll like.

I'm focusing on the eyes, since you stated you found something "not right" with them. I notice it too. What i seem to see is that the lacrimal/tear duct, and inner eyelids up and down are way too pale. They should be a darker fleshy/slightly red color and that would in turn give it a bit more depth to it. The figure itself looks slightly "older", in texture and wrinkling, so the eyelashes don't jibe off the bat. Usually thick lush lashes (especially bottom ones) are generally in youth only, to coin a phrase "childlike lashes". The transmap itself seems great to me, but for a figure in the 16-20 year old age ratio.

Well, she does look older. Overall I like the texture. What I DO see as 'issues' to be addressed are the lashes, teeth, the eyelids, lacriminals/tear ducts. The last two could use some darkening to them. The lashes need to be thinned out a bit. The transmapping is fine for a younger female, but for an older woman as this, they are too young looking. The teeth.. egh. I know EVERY texture artist struggles with this, and it's a HUGE part of why I almost NEVER show the teeth in my renders, but the teeth look plastic, rather than real. I don't know how to fix that. I don't think many do. Maybe someone with more background in texturing can give hints on fixing the teeth, but to me they just look plastic. Rest of the mouth looks fine, though, even the tongue. Now onto the morphing... You've done a great job of morphing her face to appear a bit older, but the mouth REALLY needs work to me. Just WAY too small all around. Looks comical at this point. Try widening it a bit. Hope that helps...

I really cannot help you with the eyes, they seem fine to me. What caught my eye was the more purple skin on the upper nose, while the nose itself is less purple. This seems strange to me.
