Description

When I lived in Alberta Canada, I was lucky enough to see late at night out in the country the Northern Lights or Aurora as some call it. It was so beautiful...dancing lights across the sky that actually hum if you're quiet enough and listen. It was the most beautiful display of light this one had ever seen although I hear they are even better in Alaska. I wanted to try and show something similar as I saw that night in Canada. Although I've never seen an image that gives the Northern Lights justice I wanted to try anyway... I played around with some textures in Bryce to place in my sky...nothing near as beautiful as the real thing but as close as a beginner in Bryce could get. Thank you all for your comments on yesterday's post...God bless and Blessed be.

Very pretty Marlene. I'd love to see a real Aurora some day. This got me thinking and did some research on them today.. very interesting.. They are about 60 miles up and don't really make any sound though some folks swear they can hear them sometimes. Anyway, excel image and hugs from Dave :^)

I've never seen the aurora in real life, only in pcitures, but I'd say you've done a great job in depicting them! I do like the groundcover you've used too.
