Description

"Woodman spare that tree! Touch not a single bough! In youth it sheltered me, And I'll protect it now." ~ George Pope Morris "Civilization exists by geological consent, subject to change without notice." ~ Will Durant

A little experiement shooting afternoon light in the tree branches from a second story screened in port. The screen acted as sort of a natural diffraction filter, faceting the image. Very little other postwork was done. Please view full size for the full effect. ------

Neat effect, I have done a similar one with a little bird, another trick cinematographers use, it to take off the lens and stretch a stocking over the end, this gives that dreamy love scene effect, inventive stuff Kort ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Great experiment. Nice results. I have used sunglasses before and had fun. They seem to have so many different colors of lens these days and they can be fun to play with. Nice job here.

It gives it an interesting texture. I noticed the image comes together the further away from the monitor you are. So it's almost like pointilism...Tres creative, Kortalooie! Have a wonderful Mem'l Day weekend. -M :^)

I have the feeling that this accidental happening is going to be refined in the next several weeks as how to exploit such a screen for some interesting effects. One thing I would try is using a larger f-stop to develop a possible softess. Even I feel that it is someting to explore if I can oonly find a window screen around this house. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Wow, and my first thought when I looked at it was a Photoshop filter, until I looked closer. Very well done.

Stellar esoteric abstract effect in this capture. Of course, I screen all of your efforts in the area of arcane photography.

Fun to play!!! Interesting results! Another thing you can do for a strange look is get your thumb greasy and smear it around in a circle on your lens. ~~~:o)b

The light and shadow takes on a swamp effect. Is that Paul Newman humming on the porch?
